We welcomed the Japanese students at the carpark and group them to thier respective groups. Then we proceed to LTS1 (a lecture theater) where most of the activity takes place. We begin with Surah Al-Fatihah and followed by doa selamat a speech from Mr Ota Kenji, our Japanese Language so called Head Teacher. Then followed by FIVE more speeches from the Shizuoka-ken Representative (Shizuoka is where Hamamatsu Hi Sch is located, and Mt.Fuji), NYP Foreign Language Department Head, Hamamatsu's principal, a representative from NYP (which is my japanese class classmate) and a representative from Hamamatsu. Of course, most of the speeches are in Japanese. I daydreamed when the Singaporeans do the speeches but listen when the Japanese to thiers. Japanese Language sounds better when spoken by the Japanese themselves.






Next, the two schools (NYP and HHS) exchange momentos. The lady holding the mike is HHS principal, the man in white is the foreign lang head, Mr Kenji near the podium and some random woman holding the plaque. There's also a kite as a momento from the Japs. They siad Shizuoka Prefecture people likes to fly kites, thus the huge kite which u can see in the picture below.






After that, performances by the Japs. 3 performances. One performance from each Homeroom class. The first one was pretty boring. They just recite some sort of short poem i think, monotonously. It goes lyk 'Sakura,Sakura blablabalbalbalbalbalbalbalbalabla...' and finish.






The 2nd performance was the same as what the Japs that came to MWTI did. It's on of thier traditional song and dance. Luckily I remember that the cam i had can record video. (Thnx again MFR..eheh). I can't remember the third performance one.






I dunno wat happen but one of the teacher from HHS wants to fly the kite, suppose to have some sort of symbolic meaning or sumtin. 3 tries, but the kite won't stay up for more than 15 secs. In one of the failed tries, the kite smash down dangerously to the crowd, luckily no one was hurt physically.






Then we went all the way to the sports hall, I managed to took the pics of the jap that i'm in charge with.Takabayashi Shunta,Suzuki Hajime,Hattori Takahiro and Sakami Hoje. I can;t remember the name of the other person.And i can't remember which name belongs to which face but i remember tho, Sakami is the one in the middle.






In the sports hall, we play some games. Only one actually cos of the time constraint. The game was for US(the s'porean) to learn the traditional dance and perform them. Kinda easy to catch up since the dance steps are reapeated. After that refreshements, mingle with the japs, exchange presents, basically it's free-time session. Here i took the chance to get more pics. And you can play spot the difference in the pics! hahaha. Can you spot which are Chinese and which are Japanese??
